(MISSOURI CITY) – Missouri City’s Citizens' Police and Fire Academy is scheduled to begin on April 5 at the Public Safety Headquarters, 3849 Cartwright Road. The free, eight-week program is open to Missouri City residents. Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Missouri City's Citizens' Police and Fire Academy is intended for community members who wish to be more informed on Public Safety as well as those contemplating a career in the field. This program offers a behind-the-scenes view of what firefighters and police officers face daily.
Admission is considered on a first-come, first-serve basis and limited to 24 students. Prior to acceptance, applicants' backgrounds will be checked pertaining to arrests for prior criminal offenses. A prior conviction will not automatically disqualify an applicant and will be considered only as it relates to this academy.
