(SUGAR LAND) – Two burglary suspects were arrested this weekend in Sugar Land after an early morning burglary alarm at a local business.
Saturday morning at approximately 4:24 a.m., SLPD Officers responded to an alarm at the River Oaks Cleaners, located at 13807 N Southwest Frwy. Officers arrived and found forced entry to the front door.
Offices entered the business and noted evidence scattered around the floor and office area, but no offenders were located.
Moments earlier, another SLPD officer was on a traffic stop not far away from the burglary. One of the occupants identified had an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated robbery.
As the warrant was confirmed and the driver taken into custody, the passenger was also detained after conflicting stories as to where they were prior to the traffic stop. After further investigation, the passenger was also taken into custody, and both were charged with burglary of the cleaners.
Additional investigation by detectives revealed the suspects have possibly committed other burglaries in the area.
