(KATY) - The City of Katy Public Works Department will be picking up and recycling live Christmas trees again this year. There will now be a first and second round of dates for collection:
The first pick-up will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 27 to Friday, Dec. 29.
The second pick-up will be Monday, Jan. 8 to Wednesday, Jan. 10.
On these days, make sure your tree is placed at the curb by 8 a.m. The trees must have all decorations, ornaments, tinsel, lights and stands removed to be recycled. Flocked trees and/or artificial trees cannot be recycled.
If you are not able to recycle your trees during our collection days, alternate locations for tree recycling are:
