City of Richmond Receives ‘Outstanding Public Drinking Water System’ Award

(RICHMOND) – The City of Richmond has been recognized again by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for the city’s water quality.

The City of Richmond has been awarded the Outstanding Public Drinking Water System Award for the eleventh year recognizing “overall excellence in all aspects of operating a public water system.”


The Texas Public Drinking Water Recognition Program recognizes the “effort, dedication, and contribution public water supplies make to the state and to protecting public health of all citizens.” This program is extended to all water systems in the state for outstanding performance for the preceding year.



Members of the City's Water Team to be recognized are Mike Moody, Cliff Holik, Ken Bartling and Scott Fajkus.
