(RICHMOND) - With temperatures projected to be below freezing Monday and Tuesday, the City of Richmond Parks Department will be winterizing the restrooms at Wessendorff park and George parks along with the drinking fountains at Clay Park and Freemantown Park.
Water to the parks will be shut off around 4 p.m. Sunday and the restrooms and drinking fountains will reopen when the temperatures reach above freezing.
The Arctic front is expected to arrive late Sunday and should drop temperatures to below freezing Sunday night. Highs on Monday are not expected to rise out of the 30’s and could drop to the upper teens or lower 20’s on Monday and Tuesday nights. By Wednesday the temperature is expected to climb into the 50’s with above freezing temperatures at night.
