(ROSENBERG) - The City of Rosenberg has announced the city’s first public art exhibition in partnership with the Art League of Fort Bend County. The new public art display is located at the Rosenberg Civic Center, 3825 Highway 36 S.
The community display features a variety of art in different mediums including photography, acrylic paintings, oil paintings, encaustic (hot wax) painting, intaglio (printmaking), fiber and mixed media.
“This new exhibition completely transforms the Rosenberg Civic Center and brings a breath of fresh air to the building,” said Communications Director Tanya Kveton, who oversees both the Civic Center and the City’s Tourism program. “Our goal was to create a memorable point of interest that promotes creativity, inspires conversation, and fosters a sense of community for our residents and visitors alike.”
The public art project also serves as an opportunity to showcase the talent and diversity of the artists from the Art League of Fort Bend County at the Fort Bend Art Center located at 2012 Avenue G in Historic Downtown Rosenberg.
The free exhibition is open to the public and can be viewed Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
