CTE Expo Draw in Hundreds of Fort Bend ISD Families

(FORT BEND ISD) - It was standing room only at Fort Bend ISD’s CTE Expo at the Reese Center Wednesday evening, Oct. 18. About 500 parents and students attended the event and were greeted by cheerleaders from Blue Ridge-Briargate Elementary School and treated to a performance by Dulles High School Fine Arts students to kick things off.

They then received an update on news from the district by Superintendent Dr. Christie Whitbeck before hearing about the variety of FBISD Programs of Choice, Academies, and Career Tech offerings for students - including Early College, Piano Technician, Global Studies, Engineering, Audio/Video production, Automotive, Cosmetology, Health Science, Veterinary Medicine and Welding. Info stations were set up throughout the building. At the Culinary Arts station, students prepared and served small bites of fried risotto, tomato basil soup, lasagna and cake.
