Dulles High School Team Places in National Science Competition

(FORT BEND ISD) – Dulles High School’s Science Bowl team placed fifth in the national competition, held in Washington, D.C. from April 28-May 1. It was one of 64 teams from the nation and will receive a $1,000 cash prize for the Dulles science department.


The team earned fifth place in last year’s competition as well.


The team is comprised of Math and Science Academy students including Anant Asthana, Justin Li, Viraj Neghandhi, Sreeansh Parija and Rushil Shah. The team is coached by teacher Neil Maredia.


Dulles won the regional competition, beating more than 20 teams from central and south Texas, to advance to the national competition.


Science Bowl is a fast-paced, quiz format competition that includes questions on biology, chemistry, environmental science, physics, energy and mathematics. Visit the National science Bowl website to learn more.
