(SUGAR LAND) - The District Attorney’s third annual “Bike Ride for Survivors” will be on Saturday, Oct. 7, starting at 7:30 a.m. from Brazos River Park in Sugar Land. This is a ride and not a race, so you can ride at your own pace. And there is a route for everyone, whether 20 miles, 40 miles, or a 55-mile stretch. All routes are protected by police for rider safety.
“I enjoy this public service outside of what a prosecutor’s office traditionally does to support those organizations that help crime victims,” said District Attorney Middleton. “I’m an avid cyclist and know there are many others in Fort Bend who like to ride and would also support crime victims.
“We have a color run, skills contests, and facepainting for the kids. And if you can’t ride, you can always donate for a good cause. All proceeds support crime victim service providers in Fort Bend County and our Expose Excellence Youth Foundation.”
