(FORT BEND ISD) - The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees has voted to appoint two new principals and an executive director of transportation.
Raymond Anderson Haas will be the new principal at Dulles Elementary School. He is
currently the assistant principal at FBISD’s Heritage Rose Elementary School.
Haas has served as a summer school principal at Armstrong Elementary School and as an assistant principal for eight years at Oakland Elementary.
Before joining FBISD, Haas worked in Del Valle ISD. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Concordia University Texas. Haas is also an alum of FBISD’s Austin High School.
The board appointed Clementine Arana as the new principal at Edgar Glover Jr. Elementary School. She is currently the assistant principal at FBISD’s Ridgemont Elementary School and an English as a Second Language summer school principal in the district.
She has also served as an assistant principal at Mission Bend and Ridgegate elementary schools.
Arana has more than 25 years of experience as an educator and campus leader. Before joining FBISD, she was an assistant principal in Houston ISD, also an instructional coordinator in that district, a numeracy specialist and a math specialist.
Arana has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston and a Master of Education from Texas Southern University.
The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees also appointed Michael Jones as the new executive director of transportation. Since 2015, Jones has been the transportation director for Lamar Consolidated ISD.
He has 40 years of experience in school transportation. Before joining Lamar CISD, Jones worked in Friendswood ISD, Lufkin ISD and Center ISD, and he managed school transportation contracts in Seguin and Nacogdoches.
Jones has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University.
