(FORT BEND ISD) – Fort Bend ISD’s Student Leadership Department invites district juniors and seniors to register for the first trip of its Profile of a Graduate Leadership Tour Series, taking place March 10-15, 2023. Students will travel to Birmingham, Selma and Montgomery, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia – the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. Click here to see a tour overview video.
“Through hands-on activities, students will be able to see how activists’ work mirrors attributes of the district’s Profile of a Graduate,” said district officials. Click here to see a PDF of the tour and a tentative itinerary.
The student tour price is $2,050, and this includes but is not limited to:
Hotel stay, five nights (two students per room)
Round-trip airfare (Airline baggage fees not included.)
Ground transportation
Admission fees for scheduled activities
Meals – five breakfasts, six lunches and six dinners
Space for this experience is limited and the deadline to register is Thursday, Sept. 15. Register online here with tour code: TTN5Q7R. Parents will need an email address to register their student.
A registration fee of $250 is required to secure a student’s place on the tour. The tour may be paid in full or in installments, which can be established on the date of registration. Scholarship opportunities are available for qualifying students.
