(FORT BEND COUNTY) – Unofficial election results are in for the Nov. 8, 2022 midterm elections. Both Fort Bend ISD and Katy ISD failed to pass their Voter Approval Tax Rate, and voters approved three out of five bond Proposals for Lamar Consolidated ISD.
Incumbent County Judge K.P. George held on to his seat, with Republican challenger Trever Nehls receiving 48 percent of the votes to George’s 52 percent. District 22 Representative Troy Nehls kept his seat with 60 percent of the votes.
On Commissioner’s Court, Precinct 2 Commissioner Grady Prestage kept the seat he has held for 30 years, with Republican candidate Melissa Wilson getting 39 percent of the votes. Commissioner’s Court Precinct 4 seat was won by Democrat Dexter McCoy, who earned 56 percent of the votes to Republican candidate Ray Aguilar’s 44 percent.
Missouri City voters re-elected Mayor Robin Elackatt, who was first elected in 2020.
