Fort Bend ISD to Hold Fifth Annual Men’s Choir Festival

(FORT BEND ISD) – The fifth annual Fort Bend ISD Men’s Choir Festival will be held in different locations throughout the District on Nov. 9, 10 and 17 to showcase the talents of more than 600 choral students.

Each concert will feature middle and high school students from their associated zone and will include a tribute to the U.S. armed services to honor veterans.

The concerts are free and open to the community.


South Zone Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. Ridge Point High School auditorium, 500 Waters Lake Blvd. in Missouri City. Students performing at the south zone event attend Baines, Lake Olympia, McAuliffe, Missouri City and Thornton middle schools and Hightower, Marshall, Ridge Point and Willowridge high schools. In addition, campus choir directors will perform the national anthem and there will be a guest performance by the Texas Southern University Choir. Central Zone Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. Elkins High School auditorium, 7007 Knights Court in Missouri City.

Students performing at the central zone event attend First Colony, Fort Settlement and Quail Valley middle schools and Clements and Elkins high schools. The event will also feature a guest performance by the Houston Tidelanders. North Zone Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. Kempner High School auditorium, 14777 Voss Rd. in Sugar Land. Students performing at the north zone event attend Crockett, Dulles, Hodges Bend and Sugar Land middle schools and Bush, Dulles and Kempner high schools. West Zone Thursday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Austin High School auditorium, 3434 Pheasant Creek Dr. in Sugar Land. Students performing at the west zone event attend Bowie, Garcia and Sartartia middle schools and Austin and Travis high schools. The event will also feature a guest performance by the Houston Tidelanders.
