Katy to Hold 5th Anniversary Celebration of the Reopening of the Johnny Nelson Katy Heritage Museum

(KATY) - The Johnny Nelson Katy Heritage Museum is celebrating the 5th anniversary of its reopening and rededication on Saturday, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend the festivities, which will include a proclamation from City of Katy Mayor Dusty Thiele, the unveiling of a native plant garden, and “Touch-a-Truck,” a display of vehicles from the police, fire, and infrastructure agencies. Light refreshments will be available.


There are many historical items/displays, equipment, documents, and photographs to be shared and enjoyed. The Johnny Nelson Katy Heritage Museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
