Richmond PD Releases Photo of Possible Suspect in Armed Robbery Murder

(RICHMOND) – Richmond police have released a photo of a possible suspect in a Jan. 3 armed robbery murder.

Officers responded to a business park in the 300 block of S. 9th in response to a report of an armed robbery in progress. When they arrived, they saw a man with gunshot wounds lying on the floor of the business. Witnesses told police that the suspect entered the business demanding property then shot the victim. He then fled the store after taking property from the business as well as personal property from the shooting victim and witnesses.


Officers were unable to locate the suspect. The Richmond Fire Department and Fort Bend County Emergency Medical Services were also on location and tried to provide life-saving aid to the victim prior to him being taken to Oak Bend Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.


The suspect was described as a black male with a slim build, approximately 6-feet, 3-inches in height. He was described as wearing khaki pants and an orange safety vest, an unknown color shirt. He was wearing a mask, gloves, a hard hat and sunglasses.


The name of the victim is not being released at this time.
