Richmond Receives Watermark Award for Consumer Confidence Report

(RICHMOND) - The City of Richmond was recently presented a Watermark Award for the 2021 Consumer Confidence Report at the Annual Texas Section- American Water Works Association conference. The city’s Public Works staff, led by Christine Cappel, was responsible for this award.

Richmond won the category “Annual Reports, Water Quality Reports and Brochures” due to the redesign of the CCR providing a “creative, more user-friendly report which reinforced the city’s core values while providing useful information,” said city officials.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency requires all drinking water providers in the nation give a water quality report to their residents on an annual basis. The 2021 six-page color format gave opportunity for staff to :make the publication fresh and exciting using the city’s Core Values of Pride as a basis for the redesign,” said city officials.
