Sherrif’s Office Responds to Riot in McCrary Meadows Subdivision

(RICHMOND) – Multiple arrests were made this week after the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a riot in the McCrary Meadows subdivision.

On Tuesday, Aug. 22, at approximately 4:37 pm, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center call takers received multiple disturbance calls to the 3300 block of Avary River Lane in Richmond, in the McCrary Meadows Subdivision.


Responding Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived shortly thereafter and found approximately twenty people involved in a riot.


Sheriff’s Office Investigators and deputies placed suspects in custody related to this incident. Some of the charges are Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief, and Rioting. Other charges may follow, as this remains an ongoing investigation.
