(FORT BEND COUNTY) – Fort Bend County Animal Services is looking for short-term fosters for shelter dogs during the upcoming freeze. Due to overcrowding, the shelter’s indoor/outdoor kennels have been divided in two, meaning many dogs are living outdoors.
Thanks to a donation from Fort Bend PAWS, garage doors and heaters have been provided, but a home environment would be the ideal situation for the animals living outside.
“Please consider opening your home for a week or two to a dog in need,” said shelter representatives. “They’ll help keep you warm too with lots of cuddles!”
Anyone interested in fostering can visit the shelter during kennel viewing hours at 1210 Blume Rd. in Rosenberg or call 281-342-1512.
Kennel viewing hours are as follows:
Mondays - Closed
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays - 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Wednesdays - 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.- 7 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays - noon- 3 p.m.
