(FULSHEAR) – One of two Tahoe’s stolen from the Parklane Apartments located on Fulshear Bend Drive in the Cross Creek Ranch community has been recovered near the Texas Border.
A 2020 Tahoe was stolen Jan. 12 and a 2015 Tahoe was stolen Jan. 16. On Jan. 17 a Texas State Trooper pulled over the stolen 2015 Tahoe near the Texas border displaying fake temporary license plate tags. Upon further inspection of the stolen vehicle, the trooper discovered that the crooks made entry by popping the door lock on the driver’s side door. Once inside they removed the ignition cylinder and replaced it with their own cylinder with a key which fit into the cylinder, and subsequently was able start the vehicle.
Two suspects were arrested on scene without incident and the vehicle was recovered.
Both vehicles were stolen in the very early morning hours between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m.
