The Arc of Fort Bend County’s Annual Golf Classic: Troy Companies Returns as ‘Presenting Sponsor’

(FORT BEND COUNTY) -The Arc has announced that their 29th annual Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, May 22, at Sweetwater Country Club. Registration is at 10 a.m. followed by a box lunch and shotgun start at 11 a.m.


Following 18 holes of golf, the “Yeah-I-Do! Cook’n Crew” will prepare the BBQ dinner. Dinner will be served in theballroom at SWCC, followed by the live auction, led by James Patterson. Dinner, awards and auction begin upon completion of play (approximately 4:30 p.m.). Those who don’t golf can invite friends and family to the dinner and auction.

The Arc of Fort Bend County was founded in 1968 by parents who wanted to improve the lives of their children who had intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a “grass roots” advocacy organization, The Arc advocates for the inclusion of people with IDD into all parts of the community – from classrooms to the workplace. Along with this advocacy, The Arc provide recreational and social programs for adults and youth and the largest Special Olympics program in the area.
